The role of the Medical Laboratory Technologist is currently open at Interior Health Authority. This part-time position (0.75 FTE) is designed to provide relief support within a dedicated laboratory team. Shifts are scheduled from Monday to Friday, covering both daytime and evening hours, with on-call responsibilities extending from midnight to 7 AM. Weekend duties are limited to on-call only from Friday evening through Monday morning.

As a Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will thrive in a collaborative team environment, executing a variety of tasks within Chemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Medicine, including performing venipuncture.
Your key responsibilities will encompass:
- Conducting routine and complex laboratory tests using both manual techniques and automated systems
- Inputting data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and associated programs
- Validating and documenting test outcomes
- Maintaining laboratory instruments and preparing necessary solutions and control agents
- Participating in training, evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives
