About the Role

Export Development Canada (EDC) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Micro Data Analyst to join our Economic and Political Intelligence Centre (EPIC). As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in analyzing and interpreting large datasets to inform business strategy and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support EPIC's research and impact projects by analyzing and interpreting microdata sets.
  • Collaborate with the Manager and Deputy Chief Economist to identify research topics and develop actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with other teams at EDC, including market research and finance, to leverage data and analytical methods.
  • Establish a network of researchers and analysts across government departments, multilateral institutions, and think tanks to exchange best practices and identify opportunities for collaboration.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in economics, data science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in handling large databases and building econometric models.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and statistical software such as SAS, Python, R, or Matlab.
  • Proven project management skills and ability to communicate technical insights to non-technical stakeholders.
What We Offer

EDC is committed to employment equity and offers a competitive salary range of $92,355 - $123,140, plus a performance-based incentive. We also offer a hybrid work environment and relocation assistance for eligible candidates.
