We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Government of Prince Edward Island. As a key member of our Housing Services department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our rental stock.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks to maintain the condition of our rental properties.
- Repair and replace eavestroughs, downspouts, and other exterior components as needed.
- Inspect and maintain plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
- Assist tenants with maintenance-related issues and provide information and assistance as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and control systems.
- Collaborate with other Housing Services staff to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
