Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Event Technology and Operations to join our team at Encore Global. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional event experiences and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management and Reporting
    • Develop and implement effective financial strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.
    • Manage labor, equipment sub-rentals, and other costs to achieve financial goals.
    • Utilize operational and financial reports to inform business decisions.
  • Operations Management
    • Oversee daily floor operations, including scheduling and equipment setups.
    • Ensure timely delivery of equipment and services to clients.
    • Anticipate and resolve equipment challenges and changes.
    • Maintain inventory levels and ensure safety, security, and quality assurance of equipment.
  • Sales Management
    • Develop and execute sales strategies to maximize revenue per-event.
    • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to customers.
    • Effectively prepare and present quotes and proposals to customers.
    • Collaborate with vendors and other departments to capture and service events.
  • Customer Service
    • Deliver exceptional customer service and cultivate relationships with clients and venue personnel.
    • Exceed customer expectations and needs.
    • Monitor events and check in with customers throughout the day.
  • Technical Ability
    • Oversee the technical aspects of the job and apply troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Effectively utilize company computer systems.
    • Act as on-site technical expert as needed for events.
  • People Development
    • Promote a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Manage performance, address employee concerns, and maintain adequate staffing levels.
    • Provide focused coaching to develop the skills of team members.
    Requirements
    • High School Diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • 3+ years of audio visual experience.
    • 1+ years of supervisory experience.
    • 2+ years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
    • Sales experience a plus.
    • Working knowledge of audio visual equipment in a live show environment.
    • Proficiency with computer hardware and software.
    • Effective leadership abilities and customer satisfaction focus.
