Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to support Sales & Marketing teams in answering recurrent questions for internal business reviews and external meetings with customers.
  • Support Sales & Marketing customer needs by performing exploratory data analysis to identify trends and patterns to support business decisions, developing ad-hoc reports, complex custom calculations, and KPIs required by the business.
  • Revise existing reports, calculations, develop, and distribute custom datasets and reports.
  • Work in close relationship with the Data Science team to accelerate the development of advanced forecasting models to predict sales trends, market demand, and other relevant business metrics.
  • Capture key macro-economic factors impacting alcoholic beverage sales across the country and anticipate future impact on sales.
  • Support and develop other advanced data analytics solutions to support the Sales & Marketing teams.
  • Develop expert knowledge of all data sets in terms of differences between provinces, channels, metrics, etc.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for data/reporting processes, including step-by-step guides and best practices, regularly update documentation to reflect changes and improvements in processes.
  • Work closely with the Data Integrity Analyst and IT team and oversee data quality processes and methodologies.
  • Support Power BI end-users by providing training, manuals, FAQ documents to help users understand and interpret data.

Requirements

  • University Degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Technology, etc.)
  • 3-5 years in business intelligence or analytical role
  • Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Advanced analysis skills with particular attention to detail
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI, Power Query, advanced knowledge of DAX, M languages
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, AI add-ons)
  • Strong knowledge of Data Visualization best practices and techniques, with a keen eye for visual data storytelling
  • Working knowledge of Python for data manipulation and building predictive ML and Statistical models
  • Advanced analytical skills with particular attention to detail and commitment to develop high-quality data analytics solutions
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and work effectively both independently and as a team member
  • Strong prioritizing and planning skills
  • Microsoft Certification "Power BI Data Analyst Associate" (PL-300)
  • Portfolio of Power BI reports/dashboards showcasing data visualization skills and DAX knowledge
  • Github profile with examples of advanced data analytics, predictive modeling

Compensation

The budgeted range for this role is $77,000 to $100,000, taking into account several factors and qualifications that are considered in making compensation decisions, including experience, education, training, licenses, certifications, and other business and organizational requirements.
