As a Millwright Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative and demand maintenance inspections and services for mechanical and building systems, as well as repairing pumps, mechanical seals, and other equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out routine maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of mechanical and building systems.
- Repair and replace equipment, including pumps, mechanical seals, and other machinery.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and perform repairs as needed.
- Work with the Maintenance Team Leader to schedule and prioritize tasks.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure effective and efficient maintenance operations.
- Certificate of Qualification as a Millwright (433A) in accordance with the regulations enforced in the Province of Ontario.
- Legally valid, non-probationary driver's license and a driving record that meets the TDSB insurance provider's requirements.
- Minimum of three to five years of experience in inspections and repairs.
- Strong knowledge of fluid and gas flow principles, including pump laws and fan laws.
- Experience working with computer programs, such as Microsoft Office.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and other technical documentation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
