About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and caring Child Care Provider to join our Private Household team. As a key member of our household, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care and support to our children.

Responsibilities
  • Child Care and Education
    • Develop and implement engaging activities to promote cognitive, emotional, and social development
    • Assist with homework and educational projects
    • Encourage learning through play and exploration
  • Household Management
    • Manage daily household tasks, including laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation
    • Shop for groceries and household supplies
    • Maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Transportation and Errands
    • Transport children to and from school and appointments
    • Run errands as needed
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with parents and other household members
    • Work collaboratively with the household team to achieve common goals
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in child care or a related field
  • Skills and Qualities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Flexibility and adaptability
    • Patience and understanding when dealing with children
Work Environment

This is a temporary position working 30 hours per week in an urban area. Public transportation is available.

Language

English or French is required.
