Position Overview
As a key player in our organization, you will take charge of various environmental initiatives, overseeing both extensive and localized remedial operations, managing the execution of in-situ treatment systems, and ensuring compliance through rigorous auditing.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering leadership in environmental site assessments and remedial excavation projects.
- Overseeing intricate project tasks while leading small, diverse teams, including engineers, hydrogeologists, and risk assessors, alongside multiple contractors.
- Steering projects from initial proposal to the completion of high-quality reports, while maintaining a comprehensive project plan to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery.
- Enhancing revenue streams from existing clients and actively seeking new business opportunities to expand our client base.
- Building and nurturing strong client relationships, ensuring effective communication throughout project lifecycles to meet client expectations.
- Mentoring junior and intermediate staff in the realms of contaminated site management and project oversight.
Candidate Profile
- A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
- Fluency in both French and English to support operations in specific regions.
- A minimum of seven years of relevant experience, including at least two years in a supporting project management capacity.
- Proven project management expertise with familiarity in both provincial and federal regulatory frameworks.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
The following qualifications will enhance your candidacy:
- Experience in land development, mining, or federal government projects.
- Background in soil science, including the design and execution of soil sampling initiatives.
- Experience in drafting remedial action plans and developing cost estimates for implementation.
- Proficiency in supervising contractors and subcontractors.
