Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Concrete Form Setter to join our team on a seasonal basis. As a Concrete Form Setter, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful completion of our concrete paving projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and lay out forms as required according to specifications, with the ability to make calculations depending on grades.
  • Form Sidewalks and Curb, Gutter and Ramps.
  • Clear work sites of any tools, debris and equipment.
  • Perform all tasks with safety consciousness.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of concrete form setting experience.
  • Some concrete finishing and prior experience in the construction industry is an asset.
  • Knowledge of percentage of the slop and tape readings.
  • Ability to work continuously for prolonged periods of time under pressure.
  • Must possess a valid class 5 driver's license & a reliable vehicle to commute to different sites.
  • High attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to follow directions.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to work in a team setting and independently with little supervision.
  • Flexibility and adaptability is an asset.
  • Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends.

Additional Information

  • This is a seasonal position and typically starts in the springtime annually.
  • This position is eligible for over-time.
  • Some travel outside of Edmonton may be required.
  • Training will be provided for various activities.
  • We offer excellent wages and benefit eligibility after 3 months with the potential to continue your benefits during the winter months (off season).
  • Potential on call work during the winter months during snow removal and early spring sweeping season.
