Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team as an Assistant Professor in Statistics and Data Science. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, conducting research, and contributing to the department's academic and research activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Statistics and Data Science
  • Conduct research in Statistics and Data Science, with a focus on emerging areas such as Statistical Machine Learning and Computational Statistics
  • Develop and maintain an externally funded research program
  • Supervise graduate students and contribute to the department's academic and research activities
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or a related area with a strong background in Data Science
  • Experience in teaching and research in Statistics and Data Science
  • Strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Statistical Machine Learning, Computational Statistics, and Data Mining
  • Applied experience in areas such as environmental sciences, health sciences, and bioinformatics
  • Postdoctoral experience in interdisciplinary research
