Job Summary

At NUMERO UNO TRANSPORT INC., we are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive and Maintain Vehicles: Operate a range of heavy vehicles, including lighter, special purpose trucks, and ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload cargo, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Obtain Permits and Documents: Obtain necessary permits and documents to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Inspect and Maintain Vehicles: Regularly inspect vehicles, perform brake adjustments, and oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance.
  • Communicate with Dispatch: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Record and Report: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements
  • Driver's License: Possess a valid Class 1 or A driver's license.
  • Education and Experience: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and willingness to train.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent oral communication, flexibility, judgment, organization, and reliability.
Work Environment

As a Truck Driver with NUMERO UNO TRANSPORT INC., you will work in a fast-paced environment, often on the road, and be required to work varying hours, including nights and weekends.
