About the Role
Your Responsibilities
• Schedule maintenance for all equipment on site to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with contractors to repair and install machinery/equipment as required, ensuring seamless operations.
• Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program, maintaining accurate records to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
• Manage inventory of spare parts to ensure timely replacement and minimize equipment downtime.
• Identify and record any problems relating to product, process, and quality system, and initiate action to prevent their occurrence.
• Provide solutions through designated channels, verifying their implementation and effectiveness.
• Control further processing, delivery, or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
• Respond to employee concerns and inquiries, referring them to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Prepare reports, maintain records, and communicate required information to relevant parties as necessary.
• Provide guidance and training to apprentices, signing off on their apprenticeship training standards as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with QEMS policies, procedures, and work instructions, and train employees on applicable policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Requirements
• Recognized Certificate of Qualification as Electrician or Millwright, or equivalent trade experience.
• Familiarity with machining centers, presses, and industrial equipment is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Good organizational skills and scheduling abilities are necessary to meet deadlines and attain objectives with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rotating shift work and overtime as required.
