Job Title: Payroll Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Clerk to join our team at AIMS Group.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare statements of earnings for employees, highlighting gross and net salaries, deductions, and benefits.
  • Store, update, and retrieve financial data, maintaining confidentiality and security.
  • Perform clerical duties, such as maintaining filing systems and preparing reports.
  • Reconcile issued payrolls to bank statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare monthly statements and maintain payroll records.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of payroll software, including ADP, QuickBooks, and Excel.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in payroll or a related field.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Working Conditions:
  • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Regular working hours, with occasional overtime as required.
Language:
  • English is the primary language of communication.
Work Schedule:
  • 35 hours per week, with flexibility to work additional hours as required.
