Position Summary: We are seeking a full-time and permanent CNC Machinist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process by performing a variety of machining operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and charts to determine machining operations and plan effective sequences.
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances, measure, and layout workpieces accurately.
- Set up, operate, and maintain various machine tools, including CNC equipment, to execute precision machining tasks.
- Verify product dimensions for accuracy and compliance with specifications using precision measuring instruments.
- Program machine tools for operators to ensure efficient production.
- Maintain thorough documentation of processes, including time control on components and equipment maintenance records.
- Report quality and operational issues to the department supervisor.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely delivery of machined components.
- Utilize knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, and machining procedures effectively.
- Demonstrate expertise in machining both standard and exotic materials.
- Promote a safe working environment and ensure proper handling of workpieces.
- Conduct daily maintenance and cleaning of equipment to minimize downtime and address any equipment issues.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Alibre design software is required.
Qualifications: Candidates must possess at least one year of experience as a machinist, with specific expertise in CNC programming. A secondary school diploma or equivalent credential assessment is required. Completion of a 2-year Electromechanical Engineering Technician course is considered an asset. Proficiency in English is essential.
