Job Title: Plasterer

K Sidhu Contracting Ltd. is seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Plasterer to work on various construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying, leveling, and smoothing coats of plaster, as well as performing other related tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to create a smooth surface.
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for plastering.
  • Cure freshly plastered surfaces to ensure durability.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow the coat to dry.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
  • Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces.
  • Attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring.
  • Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience.
  • Ability to work outdoors in dusty conditions.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a dusty outdoor environment.

Work Hours

The work hours will be 35 to 40 hours per week.

Language

The work language is English.

The work term is permanent.
