Painter - Wall Covering Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at Winmar Property Restoration Specialists Halifax. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting and wall finishing services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
- Repair and Maintenance: Repair cracks and holes in walls and ceilings, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and secure working environment.
- Paint Mixing and Application: Mix paint to the desired color and texture, and apply it to interior and exterior surfaces using a variety of techniques and tools.
- Wall Covering and Decoration: Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls, and advise clients on colors and choice of wall coverings.
- Scaffolding and Rigging: Erect scaffolding and swing stages, and attach rigging as required to ensure safe access to work areas.
- Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for each project, and plan and schedule work to ensure timely completion.
- Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and provide expert advice on painting and wall finishing services.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in painting and wall finishing.
- Language: English language proficiency.
- Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
