About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at Superway Constructions Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all painting and wall covering work is completed to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and Finish Surfaces

Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring they are free from dust, dirt, and other contaminants.

Repair and Patch

Repair cracks and holes in walls and ceilings, and apply patching compounds to create a smooth surface.

Mix and Apply Paint

Mix paint to the desired colour and texture, and apply it to interior and exterior surfaces using a variety of techniques.

Measure and Install Wall Coverings

Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls, ensuring a precise and professional finish.

Advise and Consult

Advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings, taking into account their personal preferences and design requirements.

Erect Scaffolding and Rigging

Erect scaffolding and swing stages, and attach rigging to ensure safe access to high areas.

Estimate and Plan

Estimate costs and materials required for each project, and plan the work schedule to ensure timely completion.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, and at least 1 year of experience in the painting and wall covering industry.

Language and Work Environment

Fluent in English, and able to work in a fast-paced construction environment with a focus on quality and safety.

Work Schedule

35 hours per week, with flexibility to work overtime as required.
