Role Description and Expectations

The Senior Copywriter - Brand Leader will oversee the copy team from inception to final product, ensuring high-quality content and style that meets the client's marketing strategies and objectives. This role requires a brand leader who can solve strategic and creative issues with the client, enhancing the client's confidence in the agency. The Senior Copywriter will manage and mentor a team of creatives, managing a heavy workload and ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standard.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develops a deep understanding of the client's business and market, ensuring strategic planning and implementation that meets the client's needs.
  • Evaluates work in light of current marketing trends and environment, ensuring that all creative work is relevant and effective.
  • Empowers project teams to create cutting-edge concepts and designs within brand guidelines, while also contributing innovative ideas that align with the client's marketing strategy.
  • Leads and contributes in brainstorming sessions, anticipating and solving creative problems, and providing feedback on creative approaches.
  • Oversees the creation of concept roughs for presentation to the client, helps set priorities, and manages workloads to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Responsible for growing existing brands, participating in new business, supervising concept work, and fostering diversity and inclusion.
  • Manages and mentors direct reports, sets expectations, demonstrates ability to hire and retain capable people, and develops strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

Key Requirements:

  • Effective oral and written communications skills, interpersonal skills, sound judgment, problem-solving ability, and team player.
  • Client rapport building, presentation skills, managerial and leadership skills, market understanding, and computer proficiency.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Advertising/Marketing, Communications, Writing, or related discipline preferred.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of marketing/advertising business experience preferred.
  • Comfort with integrating AI into work and staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends.
