About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Ontario Potato Dist. (Alliston) Inc. 1991. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our building systems and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Building Systems Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and coordinate with tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Facilities Management: Advertise vacancies, contact contractors for repairs and maintenance, and perform safety and security checks.
  • Customer Service: Show apartments and offices to prospective tenants and provide excellent customer service.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise other workers and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Physical Demands: Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, and perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Rural area.
  • Work Conditions: Work under pressure, handling heavy loads, and physically demanding.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, initiative, judgement, and organized.
