Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Manage payroll reporting and payments, ensuring timely and accurate processing
  • Research and interpret regulatory requirements, resolving tax and withholding issues
  • Respond to auditing and regulatory inquiries, ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, ensuring efficient and accurate payroll processing
  • Collaborate with the HR team to ensure compliance with employment standards and labor laws
  • Manage external audits, ensuring compliance with CRA, EHT, and Revenue QC regulations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Professional designation (CPM, PCP, CGA, or CMA) is required
  • Thorough knowledge of payroll regulations in various provinces across Canada
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in a human resource or business-related field
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with expertise in Excel
  • Bilingual English/French proficiency
