About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Senior Manager to lead our OMNI News team at Rogers Communications. As a key member of our News & Information team, you will be responsible for overseeing the editorial news strategy for each of our language news teams across all regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive editorial strategy to drive engagement and growth across our multilingual news platforms.

  • Provide leadership on journalistic, ethical, and legal decisions to ensure the highest standards of quality and integrity.

  • Lead change and innovation in editorial content and news programming to stay ahead of the competition.

  • Manage a team of news professionals, providing coaching, feedback, and mentoring to help build the next generation of multi-lingual journalists.

  • Develop and maintain a positive, creative internal culture that aligns with Rogers' values and promotes a collaborative work environment.

  • Collaborate with other Rogers Sports & Media news platforms to increase, improve, and manage integrated editorial efforts.

Requirements

  • Deep experience in news, including reporting on issues that resonate with diverse communities.

  • Understanding of Canada's diverse language communities that OMNI serves.

  • Experience in leading complex and regionally diverse teams.

  • Highly effective leadership skills to rally a diverse group of individuals toward a common goal.

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills to effectively deal with multiple stakeholders.

  • Strong ability to influence stakeholders and drive results.
