Position: Safety Manager

Armour Transportation Systems is seeking a Safety Manager to oversee safety initiatives and foster a culture of safety within the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily management of safety practices and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Operations Management on safety-related projects
  • Encourage a strong Safety Culture throughout the company
  • Conduct Driver and Employee Orientations, coaching sessions, and Safety Training
  • Implement Safe Behaviour Observation programs and Field Audits
  • Ensure adherence to Occupational Health and Safety regulations
  • Conduct Incident Investigations and perform root cause analysis
  • Report on Key Performance Indicators and communicate corrective actions
  • Manage daily activities of assigned personnel
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a safety role within the industry
  • Strong understanding of transportation regulations, occupational safety standards, and Hours of Service regulations
  • NATMI CDS certification or equivalent preferred

Working Environment:

  • Dynamic and fast-paced setting
  • May require non-standard hours and travel
  • High volume of communication through various channels

Technical Proficiencies:

  • Ability to prepare and deliver presentations to diverse audiences
  • Skilled in data analysis for reporting and trend identification
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and TMW Applications
