Position: Canada Finance Lead

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee local financial operations and deliver finance support to the Canadian division.
  • Direct the financial planning process with an emphasis on value generation and resource alignment with strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with accounting and tax departments for statutory accounts, regulatory compliance, and tax obligations.

Reporting Structure:

Reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

Additional Duties:

  • Conduct financial analyses to facilitate strategic decision-making.
  • Develop the annual operating plan and financial forecasts.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Support tax-related issues and the distribution of commercial products.

General Overview:

  • Actively participate as a member of the Canadian Management Committee.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, auditors, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members.
  • Oversee special projects as required.

Required Skills:

  • Proven track record as a trusted business partner.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt.
  • Strong proficiency in IT systems.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Accounting or Economics.
  • At least 7 years of experience in accounting and finance within the biotech or pharmaceutical sectors.
