We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Cardiology Program at Alberta Health Services. Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Provide a wide range of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Utilize nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making to deliver patient-centered care.
- Teach, counsel, and advocate on behalf of patients and their families, promoting health promotion and maintenance.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care, addressing the physical, emotional, and social needs of patients.
- Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
- Previous 4C experience is required.
- Successful completion of the Stollery Pre-hire Interview Medication Administration Exam and the Stollery Medication Administration Exam with 90% or greater.
- Successful completion of the Stollery PEARS (Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization) course.
- Previous pediatric experience in an acute care setting, specifically pediatric Cardiology and/or GI.
- Current certification in specialized clinical competencies, including direct IV, cytotoxic administration, charge, VAD, ICE, care of trach/vent patients, and peritoneal dialysis.
