Job Summary

The City of Fort Saskatchewan is seeking a highly skilled Child Minding Attendant to join our team. As a key member of our recreation team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and supervision to children in our Auggie's Place Childminding Centre and Connect Hearing Play Station.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality customer service to children, parents, and staff
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for children to play and learn
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere for children of all ages and abilities
  • Ensure children follow guidelines and rules to ensure their safety and well-being
  • Perform regular equipment inspections to prevent malfunctions and potential hazards
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
  • Prepare reports and documentation as required
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and staff. First Aid/CPR certification is required, and knowledge of Child Behavior Management and Risk Management Awareness is considered an asset. The ideal candidate will be well-organized, able to problem-solve, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
