Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Manager of ESG Integration and Reporting to help deliver priority ESG initiatives across our various divisions and businesses. The ESG Integration and Reporting team provides a central hub, ensuring activities are well-coordinated and tracked over multi-year project timelines to deliver against our ambitious environmental, social, and governance commitments.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Contribute to a centre of excellence for best-practice ESG activities, commitments, and reporting, as our ESG program evolves.
  2. Support the VP, ESG Integration and Reporting in advancing reporting and disclosure activities to meet global best practices in alignment with financial reporting standards.
  3. Ensure all ESG disclosures are accurate and complete with data validation to support.
  4. Support key working groups that embed and deliver ESG commitments in our various operations.
  5. Support project planning and delivery through information and resource coordination, problem and impact analysis, solution proposals, and more.
  6. Collaborate on working group performance management, including establishing commitments, metrics, stage gates, and tracking.
  7. Support reporting to company leadership and across business divisions and departments.
  8. Oversee a modern system for ESG management and reporting, managing data and information gathering, audit, and disclosure processes in close coordination with our Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Controls, External Financial Reporting, and Legal functions.
  9. Ensure we are disclosing ESG activities in a manner consistent with industry leadership, and that our ESG performance is accurately reflected in third-party ESG-related scorecards, indices, and reports.
  10. Support ESG-related company communication to a range of stakeholders, including customers, colleagues, policymakers, and investors.
  11. Drive continuous improvement, introducing new strategies and techniques.
Requirements:
  1. 5+ years of relevant progressive experience.
  2. Experience as a CPA or internal controls, assurance, and/or data analytics.
  3. Passion for environmental sustainability and social impact.
  4. Familiarity with ESG subject matter, measurement, reporting protocols, tools, and best practices.
  5. Superior project management experience.
  6. Creative, innovative, and strategic thinker.
  7. Highly developed judgment and problem-solving skills to analyze risk issues and assist with formulating solutions.
  8. Well-developed analytical and research skills.
  9. A strong relationship manager with exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster and develop relationships both internally and externally with stakeholders.
  10. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously and proven ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment.
  11. Advanced Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
  12. Experience in the following will be an asset: major Canadian companies; retail; consumer packaged goods; management consulting; compliance.
