Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality physiotherapy services to residents in a long-term care setting. This includes conducting assessments, creating treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions to improve functional abilities and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments and re-assessments to identify residents' needs and goals
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address residents' physical, emotional, and social needs
  • Provide direct physiotherapy services, including exercises, stretches, and other interventions to promote mobility and function
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and coordination
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Document resident progress and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
  • Professional liability insurance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in a long-term care setting is an asset
  • ADP authorization is considered an asset
  • Current police check for the Vulnerable Sector is required
