Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced veterinarian to join our team in a lead role at our Northumberland Animal Hospital location. As a lead veterinarian, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, leading a team of veterinarians and support staff, and contributing to the overall success of our hospital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care, including medical and surgical procedures
  • Lead a team of veterinarians and support staff to ensure excellent patient care and a positive work environment
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of hospital policies and procedures
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest veterinary techniques and technologies
  • Collaborate with other hospital teams to ensure seamless patient care and a positive experience for pet owners

Requirements

  • Valid full veterinarian license, allowing practice in Canada
  • 3+ years of experience in soft tissue surgical procedures, preventative care, and offering nutritional advice
  • Dedicated to promoting team-based medicine practices
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with colleagues, pet owners, and community
  • Possession of a passion for coaching and mentoring students along their DVM journey
