Job Title: Security Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Supervisor to provide uniformed security supervision for contract guards at various corporate locations in Brampton. As a Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our facilities, properties, and assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure contract guards meet the mandatory skill set required for their assigned location
  • Verify guards are licensed, trained, and in proper uniform
  • Arrange and review site-specific training with contract security guards
  • Conduct random checks to ensure guards' knowledge and performance meet expectations
  • Respond to major incidents and ensure guards document their observations, findings, and actions
  • Review incident reports for clarity and accuracy
  • Initiate disciplinary actions when necessary
  • Complete daily briefs to Security Services Management and other personnel
  • Conduct patrols using electronic guard tour software
  • Perform other related duties assigned by the company
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of Security Guard experience in a municipal government or corporate environment
  • Minimum 3 years of Supervisor experience
  • Post-Secondary education in a related field (asset)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including customer service skills
  • Valid Security License for the Province of Ontario
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification
  • Valid G Class License and clean abstract
  • Physical demands: excessive walking, standing, exposed to all weather conditions and extreme temperatures
  • Utilize two-way radio and computer applications
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills (bilingual and multilingual applicants preferred)
  • Participate in professional development and on-site leveling system requirements
  • Flexible with shift availability (security operates 24 hours/day)
  • Previous experience or training in a loss prevention/security field (preferred)
  • Complete all required site training within 30 days of on-site hire date
  • Additional job-related tasks and duties as assigned
  • Successful completion of CPO certification within 6 months (training material and course cost covered by the company)

Standard First Aid, CPR Level C, Valid Ontario Security License
