We are seeking a skilled Welder Apprentice to join our team at Newtech Iron Works Ltd. As a Welder Apprentice, you will be responsible for assisting experienced welders in the fabrication and repair of metal parts and products.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the interpretation of welding process specifications and blueprints
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, including arc welding machines and gas welding machines
- Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications
- Perform minor repairs on welding equipment and machinery
- Assist in the operation of hoisting and lifting equipment
- Participate in the fabrication and repair of metal parts and products
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
The successful candidate will work in a variety of locations, including outdoors and at heights. The work environment will be physically demanding, with repetitive tasks and exposure to dust, heat, and noise.
