About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Panago. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes and utensils are sanitized and stored properly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware
    • Place dishes in storage areas
    • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
    • Scour pots and pans
    • Portion and wrap foods
    • Stock refrigerators and salad bars
  • Cleaning and Maintenance
    • Handle and store cleaning products
    • Remove kitchen garbage and trash
    • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors
  • Support Services
    • Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees (e.g., housing, transportation, storage, childcare, winter clothing, etc.)
    • Support social and labor market integration of newcomers and/or refugees (e.g., facilitating access to community resources, language training, skills training, etc.)
