Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team as a Physical Education, Outdoor Education, and Indigenous Support Teaching Position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Physical Education and Health Education to primary and intermediate students
  • Develop and implement engaging Indigenous education learning activities
  • Work with Elders, Indigenous communities, and Aboriginal Education Councils
  • Plan and design outdoor education and environmental education programs
  • Integrate technology to support learning and teaching
  • Implement socio-emotional learning and self-regulation strategies in the classroom
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop the School Growth Plan
  • Assess student learning and develop strategies to engage all learners
Requirements
  • Major in Physical Education, Sport Science, Kinesiology, or Outdoor Education at the university level
  • Successful teaching experience in Physical Education and Health Education
  • Undergraduate or postgraduate diploma in Indigenous Studies and Aboriginal Education
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities and Aboriginal Education Councils
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Excellent classroom management and engagement skills
