We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team at SBS Expedited Services Ltd. As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our team, ensuring smooth execution of tasks, and providing guidance to team members.
Key Responsibilities:- Task Management: Develop and implement plans to prioritize tasks, organize work, and ensure timely completion.
- Team Leadership: Train and mentor team members in duties and policies, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
- Reporting and Communication: Prepare and submit reports, coordinate activities with other work units or departments, and maintain open communication with team members.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the smooth operation of equipment, arrange for maintenance and repair work, and requisition or order materials and supplies as needed.
- Client Support: Offer mentoring and consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate the flow of information within the team, oversee the receiving, sorting, routing, and delivery of mail, and ensure the team is working efficiently.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a supervisory role.
- Supervision: 5-10 people.
- Free Parking: Free parking available on site.
- Support for Persons with Disabilities: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Does not require Canadian work experience.
