About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our team at Integrated Sustainability. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of high-quality, sustainable solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Delivery: Oversee and undertake various technical Civil, Geotechnical, and Environmental engineering tasks to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Design and Development: Complete front-end, preliminary, and detailed design in a variety of technical contexts, focused on Civil and Geotechnical engineering designs.
  • Engineering Review: Review engineering reports, such as Design Basis Memorandums, Geotechnical Reports, and oversee and authenticate Construction Completions Reports.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Supervise the development of and authenticate dam safety-related studies and reports, and mentor junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Site Management: Perform site visits and site inspections to ensure projects are progressing as planned.
  • Business Development: Foster critical relationships with clients, technical and non-technical staff, government representatives, and technology suppliers to drive business growth and development.
  • Project Planning: Support the development of cost estimates and schedules for project deliverables, and interface with other departments to develop and implement multi-disciplinary project strategies.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited curriculum in Engineering with specialization in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology.
  • Experience: Minimum 15+ years applicable experience in industry or the consulting sector, with a strong background in Civil and Geotechnical engineering.
  • Certifications: Registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
Desirable Skills
  • Design and Analysis: Experience with storm and sanitary sewer design, stormwater management design and modeling, and geotechnical design and analysis using slope stability software.
  • Communication: Excellent English communication skills, and experience in preparing and reviewing technical reports.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership, business development, and client communication skills.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of key North American industrial sectors, such as mining or oil and gas, an asset.
