Job Title: Chief Financial Officer

At VenorTalent, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in guiding our financial management and helping to drive our company's continued success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Directly involved in the preparation, review, and presentation of financial statements in accordance with regulatory requirements and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Responsible for developing financial strategies, forecasts, and budgets to guide our company's operations. This includes analyzing financial data to provide actionable insights for decision-making and long-term planning.
  • Tax Planning, Compliance, and Preparation: Oversee and actively participate in the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to tax laws and regulations in all jurisdictions. Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize our company's tax liabilities while maintaining full compliance.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks facing our company, such as market, credit, and operational risks. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate these risks, safeguarding our company's financial health.
  • Treasury Management: Manage our company's cash flow and liquidity, ensuring adequate funds are available for operating expenses and capital expenditures.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with other senior leaders to develop and execute our company's strategic initiatives, expansion plans, and investment opportunities. Corporate Governance: Ensure compliance with corporate governance principles and best practices, including oversight of internal controls, risk management processes, and ethical standards.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Provide leadership and guidance to our finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Develop and mentor talent to support our company's financial objectives and ensure a high-performing finance function.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or related roles, with at least 5-7 years in senior management and leadership positions.
  • Extensive experience in financial reporting, analysis, and understanding of GAAP and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with other senior leaders.
  • Experience in the construction industry and large projects is considered an asset.
  • CPA designation and/or MBA preferred.
