Job Title: General Manager, Trucking Company

Fortus Transport & Compliance Solutions Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our trucking company to success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Strategy: Develop and implement organizational policies and programs to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate human, financial, and material resources to support business objectives and ensure effective use of company assets.
  • Department Establishment: Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions to support business growth.
  • Co-ordination and Control: Co-ordinate the work of regions, divisions, or departments to ensure alignment with business objectives and establish financial and administrative controls.
  • Policy Formulation: Establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs to support business growth and improvement.
  • Representation: Represent the organization in negotiations or other official functions and delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization as needed.
  • Staff Selection: Select middle managers, directors, or other executive staff and delegate the necessary authority to them to create optimum working conditions.
Work Environment and Requirements:
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with a focus on efficiency and productivity.
  • Work Conditions: Work under pressure and maintain attention to detail in a dynamic environment.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Work Term: Permanent position with a regular full-time schedule of 30-40 hours per week.
  • Work Language: English language proficiency required.
