About the RoleAs a Senior Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Systems Engineering Team and driving the adoption of best-in-class systems engineering practices across the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate systems engineering solutions across various projects and ensure the effective allocation of resources to maximize team productivity and project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic plans to integrate effective systems engineering practices across the organization.
- Provide visionary leadership to the Systems Engineering Team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Offer expert technical guidance to resolve complex engineering challenges, emphasizing the importance of systems thinking.
- Collaborate with HR for recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of engineering staff, focusing on nurturing systems engineering talent.
- Act as a liaison between the Systems Engineering Team and key stakeholders, clearly articulating the value of effective systems engineering practices.
- Establish systems engineering processes and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure their effectiveness, suitability, and value across the organization.
- Manage departmental budgets and expenditures with a focus on advancing systems engineering capabilities.
- Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in systems engineering projects and develop mitigation strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in systems engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully leading teams, developing technical capability, and driving effective systems engineering practices.
- In-depth knowledge of systems engineering principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to advocate for systems engineering practices to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
- Strong strategic thinking and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving business impact through systems engineering excellence.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) or systems engineering (e.g., INCOSE).
