The Barrel is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Person to ensure the upkeep and functionality of our facilities. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and safe environment for both staff and patrons.
Qualifications- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a similar role
- Located in an urban area
- Primarily within a restaurant setting
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing floors and hallways
- Utilize industrial vacuum cleaners to clear debris and maintain cleanliness
- Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings to ensure a pristine appearance
- Make minor adjustments and repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Coordinate with contractors for larger repair and maintenance tasks
- Conduct minor repairs on appliances as needed
- Assist in moving heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies
- Carry out other maintenance tasks such as painting and drywall repair
- Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures regularly
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Capable of handling heavy loads (up to 23 kg or 50 lbs)
- Physically demanding role requiring bending, crouching, and kneeling
- Work Hours: 30 to 44 hours per week
- Work Language: English
