Position Overview:
The Database Management Analyst is essential in enhancing and managing Birchwood Automotive Group's data systems. Collaborating with IT leadership, this role aids in strategic initiatives, aligning technology with business goals, and driving operational efficiency. Responsibilities include examining business data, applying statistical techniques to analyze and present findings, and communicating results to stakeholders, thus providing actionable insights to support informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the administration, upkeep, and enhancement of all database systems to guarantee accessibility, data integrity, reliability, security, and optimal performance.
- Oversee database health, diagnose issues, eliminate corrupted data, and execute corrective measures to reduce downtime and enhance performance, including conducting root cause analyses.
- Design, implement, and document data architecture and modeling solutions.
- Record data analysis processes, methodologies, and outcomes to ensure transparency, reproducibility, and knowledge sharing across the organization.
- Create reporting and analytics to bolster business operations while offering suggestions to enhance sales and service.
Required Qualifications:
- Completed post-secondary education in Management Information Systems, Statistics, Computer & Data Science, or a related discipline, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis or database management.
- Proficient in database management systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL, and DBT.
- Strong knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, performance optimization, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Experience with Business Intelligence Software (Sigma, Tableau, Power BI, etc.) is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel features, is a plus.
- Analytical mindset with robust problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Results-driven with a dedication to delivering high-quality, dependable database solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
