About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to join our team at BGIS. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of designated facility areas, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and cleaning vents.
  • Ensure that all building scope of work is followed and that routine service, inspection, and maintenance activities are performed and documented using our company mobile application.
  • Maintain building security and safety integrity by performing tasks such as locking doors and arming the alarm system after operating hours.
  • Perform proper safekeeping of fobs/keys and alarm codes, and notify management of any occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.
  • Stock and maintain supplies/rooms, dilute cleaning chemicals as per instruction, and maintain equipment in a neat and professional manner.
  • Check and sign logbook daily, action requests, and cooperate with the rest of the staff to ensure a high level of service.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, ensure operational continuity at job sites, and attend to any emergencies.
  • Respond quickly and efficiently to all operational requests, track inventory and equipment, and inspect facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Follow up with workers to ensure they are completing all required tasks and are following J+A policies and procedures, and ensure that all team members are compliant with the company quality, security, and safety mandates.
  • Assist/train cleaners in performing duties, execute event requests made by managers, and review daily site evaluations/audits to ensure safety, security, and cleanliness standards are being met.
  • Execute action plans and follow up on deficiencies as outlined in quality inspections to resolve all facility's issues efficiently, and maintain work schedules according to client needs.
  • Always demonstrate the values of the company and lead by example, monitor staff absence and turnover, and ensure flexible cover arrangements within short notice.
  • Communicate with operations managers, protect company's and clients' assets from misuse and damage, and report any safety or security issues to Operations department.
