Position: Security Officer

Location: Brockville District

Work Schedule:

  • Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities
  • Shifts may vary, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Flexibility for unscheduled call-ins may be required

Compensation: $18.00 to $24.75 per hour

Job Overview:
The Security Officer will report to the Site Supervisor/District Manager and is responsible for the effective execution of security operations at the designated site.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in all situations
  • Proficient in interacting with individuals in a concise and respectful manner
  • Commitment to confidentiality for both Commissionaires and clients
  • Capability to utilize proprietary software relevant to the site/client
  • Physical fitness to conduct patrols on foot or by vehicle
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team
  • Competence in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with online scheduling tools is preferred

Security Clearance: None required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the professional image of Commissionaires and the client through conduct and appearance
  • Stay informed and comply with all Commissionaires policies and employment terms
  • Adhere to client-specific standard operating procedures and instructions
  • Familiarize with site security systems, including CCTV and alarm protocols
  • Provide assistance and information to site personnel and visitors
  • Engage with site personnel, contractors, and the public as necessary
  • Respond to emergencies and coordinate with emergency services
  • Manage key and access control procedures
  • Deliver telephone and counter services as needed
  • Conduct regular patrols of the premises
  • Perform escort duties as per site instructions
  • Maintain a personal log of daily activities
  • Report unusual activities to the appropriate supervisor
  • Generate security and incident reports as required
  • Maintain ongoing communication with supervisors and clients
  • Execute additional security-related tasks as directed by management

Additional Information:

All security roles operate 24/7, with potential for up to 40 hours per week, including overtime.

Current Commissionaires will be prioritized for all Union locations and supervisory roles.
