Job Title: Junior Mechanical Engineering Analyst

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Mechanical Engineering Analyst to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a Junior Mechanical Engineering Analyst, you will be responsible for performing conceptual and detail design engineering work on mechanical equipment and systems, and/or process-related D2O, oil hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Under direct supervision, prepare design documentation such as design requirements, design descriptions, design specifications, technical specifications, component specifications, test procedures, and plans.
  • Perform activities related to machine design, and in support of manufacturing, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical and process controls systems.
  • Participate in technical, conceptual, and detail design meetings in front of peers, clients, and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with technical guidance to drafting staff as well as mentoring and oversight of junior engineers.
  • Provide engineering support to quality surveillance, manufacturing, assembly, and testing with non-conformances.
  • Work in accordance with applicable codes, standards, regulations, client, and company procedures.
  • Provide consultation and/or review and approval of engineering quotation request packages and purchase requisitions.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics from an accredited University.
  • Registered, or eligible to be registered, as Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario.
  • Understanding of mechanics of machines, mechanics of materials, material selection, and fundamentals of machine component design.
  • Knowledge of boiler, pressure vessel, and pressure piping CSA B51 code is an asset.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Presentation skills and public speaking abilities are an asset.
  • CAD experience in Solid Edge or Solid Works is an asset.
