The RoleWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to join our technical services team at Cameco's Key Lake Operations in Saskatoon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leadership and quality execution of projects to ensure company goals and business objectives are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide 'Second-in-Command' leadership of project managers executing projects for the Key Lake Operations, supporting the Program Manager.
- Lead, oversee, and directly manage a suite of mechanical integrity and repair projects, including tank repairs, mill piping, and buried piping, to ensure safety, quality, timeliness, and profitability.
- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with management, operations, team members, and other key stakeholders.
- Work with subject matter experts and ensure appropriate utilization to bring value and innovation to projects.
- Ensure that project risks are adequately identified, addressed, and communicated to the leadership team.
- A minimum of 10 years of combined work experience in progressive project management roles in a manufacturing, mining, or industrial setting.
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in a related field; Mechanical preferred, but other disciplines considered.
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered.
- Ability to think creatively, facilitate solutions, and achieve results.
- Thrive in a dynamic environment, build trust, and maintain positive relationships with a wide variety of personnel.
- PMP, trade certification, and/or professional engineering designation, or the ability to obtain the relevant certification.
- Experience in executing all stages of the project lifecycle (initiation, planning and estimating, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, monitoring & controlling, etc.) to deliver brownfield industrial projects.
- Experience working in operations at an industrial facility.
- Experience with modern digital project tools and LEAN methodologies.
