Job Title: Senior Frontend Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Frontend Software Engineer to join our team at Electronic Arts Inc. in Vancouver, Canada. As a key member of our Digital Asset Management team, you will be responsible for developing new UIs and features within our custom-built system, enabling our content to be easily found by relevant teams and unlocking new content tagging and sharing opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Product team to bring feature plans to life, ensuring adherence to our key application principles
  • Work with backend development to create simple solutions for complex problems and interoperate with other systems and tools for content creation, tagging, and delivery
  • Spearhead the deployment of new features and ensure that our code and repo guidelines are followed
  • Design and leverage relevant services to ensure that all features can scale with future demand
  • Participate in data modelling exercises to ensure data is modelled for efficient retrieval
  • Creation of unit tests to ensure code quality
  • Drive quality and efficiency in our development work
  • Complete and continue the documentation and diagramming of all frontend services and interactions
  • Stay updated with trends and technologies in frontend development and emerging technologies, embracing and advocating for AI-driven software development assistant tools

Requirements:

  • Proven enterprise experience as a Frontend Software Engineer with 5+ years of programming experience
  • Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles and workflows
  • Experience using TypeScript
  • Ability to develop new features based on HiFi and LoFi UX/UI designs and existing design components
  • Experience working in a microservices-driven environment
  • Experience with Strapi CMS is advantageous
  • Experience in the secure AWS storage and retrieval of keys and credentials
  • Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc
