About the Role

The BC Public Service is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Store Manager to join our team. As a Senior Store Manager, you will be responsible for the management of a major retail operation, providing leadership and direction to ensure the success of the store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of retail staff to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and improve profitability.
  • Manage store operations, including inventory management, stock control, and security.
  • Collaborate with regional managers and other stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school diploma or equivalent certificate.
  • A minimum of 3 years of recent experience as an Assistant Manager or Store Manager in a retail environment.
  • Experience with profit and loss statements, including the ability to assess financial performance and make decisions to drive profitability.
  • Experience in leading and managing a team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in leading a team of five or more, including direct supervision of at least one management-level employee.
  • Experience in managing a retail environment with an annual sales volume of over $4 million.
  • A degree, diploma, or certificate in business or retail management or successful completion of a supervisory/leadership course.
