Bottle Depot Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bottle Depot Supervisor to join our team at Qualicum Bottle and Recycling Centre. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our depot, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement plans to prioritize tasks and optimize depot operations
  • Organize and coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration
  • Oversee the operational logistics of the depot, including inventory management and supply chain coordination
  • Prepare and submit reports to management on depot performance and operations
  • Ensure the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work as needed
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff to improve productivity and product quality
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Working Conditions:
  • Permanent position
  • 35 to 40 hours per week
  • English language required
