Job Summary

Nisga'a School District No. 92 is seeking a qualified and experienced teacher to fill an Intermediate Grade 6/7 position at Nisga'a Elementary Secondary School.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals
  • Teach and engage students in a culturally rich environment
  • Implement the BC Curriculum, including current pedagogical and assessment practices
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
Requirements
  • Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate
  • Experience working with Indigenous students and communities
  • Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to positively engage with and motivate students
  • Commitment to following the goals and strategies outlined in the school and district framework for enhanced learning
