Position: Mobile Security Officer - Tactical Response Team

We are seeking skilled Mobile Security Officers to join our tactical response team dedicated to safeguarding critical infrastructure. Your primary responsibility will be to deter and address criminal activities in various locations. This will involve responding to alarms, documenting security incidents, and ensuring unauthorized individuals are escorted off the premises. You will be operating a company vehicle and performing foot patrols across diverse terrains and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine patrols and surveillance of client properties, ensuring access control is maintained according to established protocols.
  • Respond promptly to alarm activations and emergencies, escalating issues as necessary and reporting all incidents to the Security Command Centre.
  • Collaborate with emergency services (Police, Fire, Ambulance) during incidents.
  • Prepare comprehensive incident reports for any security-related occurrences or property damage.
  • Foster relationships with neighboring businesses to enhance overall security.
  • Provide initial technical assessments to assist in troubleshooting security systems.
  • Maintain professional relationships with Paladin staff and client personnel while safeguarding confidential information and remaining vigilant against potential threats.
  • Manage all incidents with professionalism and composure.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Paladin personnel or clients.
Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience in the security sector
  • Possession of a valid Class 5 BC Driver's License with a clean driving record
  • Willingness to work overnight shifts
  • Proven ability to lead, organize, and resolve issues effectively.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and professionalism in both verbal and written communication.
  • Experience with handcuffing techniques and self-defense; advanced security training is preferred, though training will be provided.
  • Occupational First Aid Level 2 certification is advantageous; training will be offered to successful candidates.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Post-secondary education in Criminology or Law Enforcement is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and potentially high-pressure environment, prioritizing tasks based on urgency.
