Job Title: UNIX/LINUX Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled UNIX/LINUX Developer to join our team at Nexus Systems Group Inc. as a key member of our development team.

Job Summary:

The UNIX/LINUX Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering complex applications with a focus on accuracy, performance, security, and user experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, Spring Boot, and Python, with experience in working with cloud-based applications and microservices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop complex applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Python
  • Work with Sr. Management/Director to drive strategy and modernize market risk management platforms
  • Participate in the design, development, and implementation of effective and quality solutions
  • Ensure delivery meets integrity, quality, performance, and reliability requirements
  • Coordinate infrastructure needs and assist with documentational requirements
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of strong development experience in Java, Spring Boot
  • 5+ years' experience using Apache Struts
  • 3+ years of experience in Python with knowledge of data frames and at least one Python web framework
  • 10+ years of RDBMS experience
  • 1+ years working experience of Apache Tomcat
  • Recent experience working with fluency on Linux environment with Linux command line, and shell script
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with cloud-based applications and microservices
  • Exposure to Apache Airflow
  • Market risk or financial risk experience
Soft Skills:
  • Motivated individual to take up leadership responsibilities
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, and strong problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding of object-oriented design and design patterns, microservices architecture, and high-performance techniques
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required
Selection Process:
  • MS Teams Interview
  • 1st round: Video interview with HM and developer. Technical interview with problem-solving (60 mins)
  • 2nd round: Potential director interview
