Starbucks Department Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Department Manager to lead our Starbucks department. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring sales and profitability goals are met, and developing and training department colleagues.
Key Responsibilities- Department Leadership: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Starbucks department, ensuring a high level of customer service and sales performance.
- Team Development: Train and develop department colleagues in customer service, product knowledge, and merchandising.
- Inventory Management: Ensure merchandise is stocked, displayed, and priced appropriately, and monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
- Expense Management: Manage departmental expenses, including labor costs, inventory, and supplies.
- Communication: Communicate regularly with store management and other department managers to ensure store-wide goals are being met.
- Talent Acquisition: Be constantly on the lookout for great talent to join our team.
- Employee Engagement: Lead, coach, and motivate colleagues to improve productivity, engagement, and retention.
- Operational Excellence: Maintain a clean and safe department for customers and employees, and ensure merchandising and operational standards are met.
- Diversity and Inclusion: Build and lead diverse teams that foster a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous retail management experience, preferably in a departmental or specialty store setting.
- Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to work a flexible schedule, and proficiency in basic computer skills.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of retail operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and customer service.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
